It is certainly good to see that the consent agreement for the Hubbard Road property sale has now been posted to the POA website. (1)
Not so good that the consent, dated eleven days before the closing of the property, does not reference a sales price or mention a commission. Likewise, it is problematic that the director representing the developer not only approved the sale but is also a sales agent with Big Canoe Realty that was the recipient of the $7,500 commission. Surely the six property owner elected directors can recognize the inappropriateness of this scenario.
As for questions in a previous post about the lack of parliamentary procedure (2) . . .
Information received from a member of the board states that the director was informed by a staff member of the procedure regarding the posting of board minutes. Specifically, the staff member posts the minutes to the website after obtaining an OK from a majority of the board.
Once again, there is no indication of this approval found in the minutes and apparently a “majority of the board” is missing the obvious errors and omissions to the minutes such as the aforementioned consent agreement.
It really should not be unreasonable to expect that standard parliamentary procedure would be followed for an organization the size and complexity of the POA.
. . . . .
